The Final Battle from the same London 2008 production - what is even going on here? Does Enjolras get shot or does he just randomly scramble down from the barricade because he needs to hug Grantaire?

It is the night of hunting for the slashiest version of them all! Drink With Me begins at 5:56 with David Thaxton as Enjolras and Keith Anthony Higham as Grantaire.

I wish I’d seen this production! I love how the musical is basically fanfic about the book. And this looks an awful lot like a slash fic. Grantaire on his knees asking if Enjolras is throwing his life away! Enjolras clearly shocked by the hug but slowly giving in! Grantaire looking utterly crushed and losing his patience with Marius’s whining - there’s more than one unhappy love story going on here, you know! And of course people are arguing about book canon in the comments because Enjolras isn’t marble statue-esque enough…

(There’s also a version where it looks like Grantaire is serenading to Enjolras and playing a little guitar, but that was more ridiculous than anything else…)

I should be asleep so clearly it’s time for a Les Mis spam. Drink With Me at the 25th anniversary concert with Ramin Karimloo as Enjolras and Hadley Fraser as Grantaire. And that’s all that’s relevant in this clip.

Boys, why so much in love? Lovely ooc moment there, Enjolras. You totally support all my headcanons. I found out just now that these guys were cast as Javert and Valjean THIS SPRING in London and I wasn’t aware of it ;___; I’m sure they rocked the most epic ship of them all! Ahhh boys go on doing your thing…
